Located in the heart of Olde Towne, the Portsmouth Olde Towne Farmer's Market takes place on Court and High Street (around the courtyard of the Portsmouth Art & Cultural Center), every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Still standing in Historic Olde Towne Portsmouth is the original downtown intersection that the city's founder, Col. William Crawford, dedicated to public use - one corner each for a church, a market, a courthouse, and a jail.  In fact, Trinity Episcopal Church on the southwest corner - founded in 1762 - still rings its bells across the street from the 1846 Courthouse that now serves the Portsmouth Art & Cultural Center.
Today, merchants, farmers, craftsmen and artisans still gather at that downtown intersection for the weekly Portsmouth Olde Towne Farmers Market.
The weekly Portsmouth Olde Towne Farmer's Market is open through December 21, 2013.
You'll find items for sale that include fresh seasonal produce, flowers, plants, canned goods, baked goods, jams, breads, honey, and more!
The Olde Towne Farmer's Market is administered by volunteers all of whom are committed to making fresh, locally grown or raised food available to Portsmouth, surrounding communities and visitors.
From the Farmer's Market, you can stroll up High Street to discover a plethora of antique and boutique shops, museums and art galleries.  You’ll find a number of restaurants from upscale dining to pubs and outdoor cafés.

The gates to the Farmer's Market open when Colonel Crawford rings the bell to welcome locals, visitors and boaters alike to the  same public grounds he dedicated back in 1752.
There is free parking on the street
and in the nearby parking garages at:
441 Middle Street
County Street Parking Garage (300 Country Street) and Crawford Garage (Water Street)
The Portsmouth Olde Towne Farmer's Market is sponsored, in part, by PortsEvents.
